I've tried turning the plate and extruder temp down. Extruder temp is at 190 and plate was at 50.

Everything's being glued down too. All I want to do is raise the global Z offset to get a nice first layer.

    Edit: Also, ignore the cylinder.

Have you verified the z offset is correct? Can you share a photo of the first layer? How are the z switches? Which printer do you have?

Well I just did an M565 and it told me my Z offset was at -0.74, which I don't think is correct for the R1+.

Oh and I have the R1+. Knew I was forgetting something.

If the first layer isn't nice and squished that number needs to be smaller :) in s3d I do this via the start up script code

S3D. The problem is that I think it's TOO squished. I'll upload pics in a second of the first layer.

That does look a little to squished possibly over extrusion. Have you calibrated your extruder? Your first layer height is set to 100%? If yes to all I think I'd bring that -.74 to -.80 and see how she looks

Yep, keep bumping that Z offset 'up' (more negative->further from the bed) until it is 'happy'
