Extended z height

    I wonder if you could take the existing case, cut it where it thins down in the upper region, add a few inches of filler, repaint it and be good to go?

    you could, but why do that, when you could just add spacers underneath.

    very good point! IS that what you are thinking of doing or are you looking to change the case all together?

    im not using the case. i'm gonna make something of my own.

    I actually do have a project where this could be a benefit but I have to get my prints a heck of a lot more refined before that

    Seems like all you need to do is add longer rods and print some spacers to raise the case up.

    I'm actually thinking of ways to enlarge the print volume, the Z axis seams the easiest
    you know any manufacturer/suppliers of threaded rods and smooth rods ?
