    What extruder is on the Robo 3D R1?

    The current one uses the Hexagon.

    Nothing intrinsically wrong with either.

    Is there a height difference between the e3d and the hexagon(in other words can they be used together to dual extrude?
    (I apologize for the highjack)

    Nope they can't. It's about 12mm difference between the two.

    There's some tricks you can do to account for the difference, but it's not easy.

    Well that's too bad. I'll go ahead with my plans to get another E3d for dual extruders. This will also give me the ability to leave the stock set up assembled and just swap out for your dual setup.
