Don't know if you saw it but I broke one bit in the first plug...START OVER NEW PLUG...NEW PLUG and 8new bits and a lot of patience...had the plug and the patience needed only 6 bits. I stopped and changed bits pretty frequently after that first one broke think sharper drills better dull bits break. I was right. It took me about 30 minutes I would say 1.2 inches drilled through used a 1/4 bit to make a concave opening (about .2" deep)though it may help a bit on the extrusion and then in the center of that hole came about 1" of the 1/16" bit ended up pretty close to center on the out side.

hey jeff I found flexible coupler that fits the one im using with some slight modification.

its a 10mm to 8mm helical coupler, I drilled out the 10mm side so it would fit the shaft of the auger

8mm side goes to the motor shaft

What motor did you all end up using for the Filament Extruder?

Actually I bent myself over on this one I never got to the motor purchase for mine but decided to get an actual Filastruder and then never got that to work right so I scrapped all of it

What was not working correctly with the filastruder. I have a lot of the stuff to make one now, I was just wondering on motor that I would need to get.

Well I wanted to do PLA extrusion and I found that I would have to hang it vertically to get it to extrude properly
PLA stays warm and it simply could not retain the proper filament size or shape during horizontal extrusion it would simply start collecting on the inside a just become a huge glob of material hanging vertical may have fixed the issue but I could not use it that way where I was located
