A dozen people on this forum will give you a dozen different answers.

The real answer depends on what type of filament you are looking for:

    PLA
    Hatchbox, justPLA, Inland, eSUN

    PETG
    eSUN/Inland, colorfabb

    Nylon
    Taulman

    ABS
    ???

I use colorfabb hatch box fox smart and 3d solutec pla and get good results. remember to calibrate and test. I don't use abs. Colorfabb xt and ngen as well as ESun Petg are what I use instead of abs. Like waldo said you'll get tons of opinions. There is no right or wrong answer

They all seem to print good for me, bad spools/tangles is my issues with the cheaper stuff.

Colorfabb's is spooled the best like someone/some machine with OCD spooled them..low chance of tangle.

Hatchbox, JustPLA get kinked and tangle on themselves a lot for me but they print just fine...but almost every large print has failed because the spool was wound onto itself.

    Esuns is spooled pretty well.

+1 for hatchbox .Gizmodork is good. Makergeeks has good filament and they have a awesome grab bag special where you can get the same filament for half price as long as you dont mind any color. iv gotten stuff like ninjaflex blue in the grab bag before which is a awesome deal. I also use colorfabb on occasion but its expensive. Esun PETG is amazing . The best printing filament iv tried for sure

I prefer HATCHBOX ABS 3D Printer Filament becasue it does not require a heated print board.

In addition to this filament, you may consider the following brands:
    • SainSmart Flexible TPU 3D Printing Filament
    • eSUN PLA PRO 3D Printer Filament
