It's not file specific. But I will when I get home and figure out or change password to login on forum from computer. Lol

Lol, been there, stupid password lol.
I'm just thinking if someone else can print one of the stl files that's failing for you it will eliminate that it's a slicing issue. What's great is that the failure shows on the first layer.

Well that is where I came to the conclusion that it has to be a slicer issue because it was never a problem before. And now it is on all files I try. I'm tempted to go back to mattercontrol and see if that changes anything. But the last time I used that one the slice file made the infill look like a sponge. Not to mention all the other issues that software has.

And to prove my point about it not being file specific.

And here is the attempt with mattercontrol that I stopped due to the look of the infill.

Some of those (uploadfromtaptalk1418848559689.jpg for example and uploadfromtaptalk1418850089000.jpg) do make it look like a loose belt/pulley/drive gear since the axis looks like it is slipping/stepping over.

One easy way to test that (normally) is to slow it way the heck done (reduce print move speed) and see if it still has the issue and to the same extent. Drop it to 20-30% your normal print speed and test with something like that small model again.

So you want me too drop it from 50mm/s to 15? (30%)

Yea, that is a good test.

It can be hard to know when a belt is loose and the pulleys and motor drive cogs you can't tell without dismantling them a bit.
No point going to that effort if that is not the cause.

If the drive were really loose enough it wouldn't matter, but you would have a lot more extreme shifts in the print... not small like yours are.

Well I'm going to have to go through that effort soon. All my parts are here for the y axis and heated bed. Lol

Never said it was file specific :) Just that's it's easier to troubleshoot from pictures when you use a known outcome. That stepped pyramid tells a lot of what's going wrong.

Right now I'd bet money the set screw on your Y axis is loose.

Nice trying to hide the obvious with your thumb, but by the look of these pics, you do have an issue with slippage somewhere.

Can't help but notice that the top of your step pyramid is way off and on an angle.

Wasn't trying to hide anything Peter. Had to hold it somehow. But I guess that wasn't obvious in the other pictures.

Mike here is the second one at 15 mm/s same thing but marginally less dramatic.

Looking at uploadfromtaptalk1418857556067.jpg I'd say it is probably isolated to a single axis, you need to tighten the belt and/or drive train for whichever axis that is. If you have the old-style bed and that is the Y axis, then you are almost better waiting and just doing it all with the upgrade.
If you can't wait, then dismantle that bed and tighten that sucker :)

If is is the X it is easy enough to just tighten that belt.

I got all the parts in so I will mess with all that then. Upgrading to the heated bed and smooth rod y axis.

Still not perfect but it will do just to get the y axis parts I need to print done. All 4 of the bed belt bracket screws were tightened. So much for locking nuts. Lol

Are the bearings the Y belt wraps around loose at all?
