The belt is tighter than the one for the print head

The bearings seemed fine. But didn't really check either

After getting away from the printer for awhile and then getting bugged that I couldn't use it. I decided to take the bed of again to check the belt and the pulley teeth. Low and behold the problem fell in my lap, literally. The pulley that's on the stepper motor came off because the allen screws were loose. Printing the calibration cube again right now just to make sure. But it's already looking like I'm back in business.

Thanks for the assistance, even with my impatience at times lol.

Damn I'm sorry I didn't catch that before.

It usually is something like that but I can miss that

All good man. I didn't think of it either. And wouldn't have if it didn't pop off. Lol

Hmm, now what was it that I said back in post #19? How about
"Did you check the tightness of the Y stepper pulley set screw and the two bolts for the guide bearings?"
    ;)

You may have, but once you started trolling (like you are now) I stopped reading most of your replies.

    Knightrider,

SteveC is one of our most helpful members and I request you treat him with more respect. Your snide remark is not appreciated and you clearly did read his question because you partially answered it.

It's very frustrating on our end when we give advice that is ignored. He gave you the answer early on and you should have been more thorough in both your reading and troubleshooting.

Please be more appreciative of people who give up their free time to help complete strangers.

I'm sorry but when a reply comes off like his did I'm going to call people out on it. I'm sitting here trying to learn the quirks of this machine and don't think it's necessary to be talked down to. Respect is a two way road.

And yes I did read the last comment thinking he might have changed is tone. But "I told you so " doesn't cut it.

And the help is appreciated, when given properly. And before it gets brought up, I do know what it is like from your end.

But being bigger than Internet arguments, sorry.

From my perspective SteveC was completely helpful. You chose to take it the wrong way and you're at fault here.

So the (on-topic) take-away here is to not just check the belts, but the pulley and drive posts/pinions as well.

That used to be S.O.P. for this printer when you first got it in, but they got better :)
