    Hi all,

Just ordered my Robo3D a couple of days ago and it's due to be delivered Monday (it's saturday now). Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas again LOL.

Will be reading through the forum topics to get familiar with the place.

    Wish me luck!

Unboxed everything last night after work and read through sll the documentation.

Did a circle calibration print that went well.

Then tried to print out the stand for the Matter Control Tablet.

It lifted on me and i aborted. Applied some of the wife's hairspray and tried it again but it looked like nothing was coming out!

I aborted again and tried to troubleshoot what i thought was a filament failure to feed issue.

I managed to tske apart a few things and lost a spring an a washer under the sofa... found them after almost 45 minutes and a magnet. Lol.

I then manged to break the filament off and had to figure out how to get the piece out of the hot tip since it was below the feed gear. Heated the tip to about 235C and pushed it down and out and followed it down with a fresh end on the spool.

Restarted the print for the tablet stand and just let it go for about an hour and saw itit was indeed printing, just not like I was expecting. Went to bed and woke up to a perfect print. My first "Thing".

I took pictures but they are too big to attach. I'll host them and maybe show them later.

I had a great evening and looking forward to more!

Thanks! Having a great time, just finished off the sample spool and tried loading up my new spool.
I messed things up badly but I'm sure I'll get it sorted out. Broke some wires (long story) getting ready to put in a cry for help from the support staff.

    But, I'm having fun.

Just to close out this conversation; Tech support was great, I'd broken a thermister and they sent me a new one under warrantee. I am enjoying my printer massively!
I've had a few conversations with tech support. I get the feeling they are very busy and have to deal with very similar issues regularly. I admire support staff having worked for years in a similar capacity. Just be patient, honest and follow directions and they will get you fixed up.
