    what image?

Usually if the top is having problems it is due to heat and you need to set a minimum layer print time to allow things time to cool.

Post a pic and we can maybe have more ideas.

hes got the pic there now and it looks like a cross of to hot and to small of a feature for a .4 nozzle IMO. Try printing 2 at a time and see if it improves. If both dont look very good you may consider a smaller nozzle.

    Geof,

I have applied a Z hop over printed parts now and altered the default Z Hop Height of 0.075mm to 0.5mm and shall try this.

Regarding your suggestions, l can certainly see the introduction of another item elsewhere would encourage additional cooling.

Yes. If you cannot get cooling to a perfect point (sometimes its very hard or impossible) printing 2 of them leaves the other to cool while the next is being printed on.

Considering l am only 1.5 weeks into 3D printing and with the tips and tricks of you guys, l am making progress, slowly.

Maybe what l am trying to print at the scales l intend are not not wholly achievable.

If its tiny, you'll need to use a smaller nozzle to get the details otherwise the .4 will wash them out.
