Having some issues with my R1 not printing correctly. I did a paper calibration following MatterControl's instructions, am using ABS, and have my settings at 240 for the extruder and 90 for the bed temp (using hairspray on the glass).

I'm unable to post a picture of what happens (post count too low?), but when I try to print a calibration circle, the finished piece is badly frayed, with threads of plastic hanging off throughout. Any help diagnosing what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Threads usually mean printing too hot when using ABS try 235°C and see if the whiskers are minimized or eliminated.

Unfortunately the problem is persisting. I may be able to attach a picture or link next post.

I didn't allow the print to finish because of how it was already starting to look, but this is an idea of what seems to be happening consistently.
