    Can someone verify if the bed is glass, and if it is removable?

    4mm borosilicate glass held on with stationary magnets. Removable to a point since it's hard wired in.

    I see, the heating wires keep it tethered.

    You could disconnect from the arduino under the machine. I believe the ribbon is soldered to the heating element side.

    Correct. If you needed to remove it you'd have to unplug it from the Ramps 1.4 board after removing the bottom cover
