    Interesting read here. Somehow, the Library of Congress is peripherally involved in rule-making regarding copyright law which you'd think would be more of a USPTO sort of a thing.

    Unlocking 3D Printers Ruling is a Mess

    Maybe we should just 3D print some pitchforks and jump on a plane to Washington, D.C...

    Basic premise is about the right to repair and do you actually own the item you paid for, or can you be held hostage by the manufacturer. This is not just a 3D printer issue, just ask any Farmer with a new John Deere Combine. Besides unless Robo decides to chip all their filament rolls and rely on DRM to make sure you only use their rolls of filament this ruling has no standing. If Robo does decide to do that, look how well that worked out for Green Mountain Roasters.

    Oh man, don't get me started on coffee makers. I spent a ton of research before buying a generic iCoffee for work.
