I'll let @Geof comment on that sine he has one similar.
I can't say if those canned ones are good or bad unless a wire is broken loose.

Id it doesnt visably look bad and it ohms ok shut off the cooling fans or turn them down 50% and see if the error pops up.

There is a set screw on the bottom by the nozzle make sure voth sre tight. If all checks out either cooling fans are blowing on the heater instead of the printed part or a cieling fan or ac is running making the temp drip to fast (both caused me grief)

Hmm,I would be surprised if the stock fans were at fault, but the problem could still be the thermistor or the wiring harness too it.
Still, try with the fan off and see what happens.

:) when i got my r1+ the stock fan overpowered my original heater so bad that i had to duct it. Then i got new heaters and everything was happy

Interesting. I would have given them more credit for :
    (a) designing the fan mount to aim better
    (b) use a larger heater core if needed.

    :)

The Beta fan was not powerful enough to really hurt and was aimed pretty much directly at the part (at least with the default j-Head installed).

The E3D replacement fan mounts were fine too. You couldn't use the stock one since the E3D was a lot smaller.

Hmm. That's interesting. The thermistor is not damaged? Wiring is tightly connected ?

If all is ok I'd suggest that you might have a bad heater. They are cheap on Amazon buy a 40 watt.

90% of the time temp fall is due to the thermistor. Can you check the resistance of it?

No. He meant the thermistor it is the sensor that reads the temperature.

104K would be a good reading. Id double check all the wiring but its starting to sound like a failing heater. Check the wiring and make sure its secure on the ramps board. If all is ok id try a new heater.
