    I came across this today:

    http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5428

I have a HBP, but even with ABS slurry and the bed heated to 105C I often have prints lift a corner off the bed. Even with the fan off and the build area "insulated" this happens, not always but enough to make me want to try this.

Has anyone else here thought about doing this? Any success stories? I imagine that if it works then people with the PLA only Robo could print in ABS, which would be pretty cool for them.

I think most perf boards are made using FR4 material. And many blank, copper clad printed circuit boards are also made using FR4.

So it would be useful to know if the ABS is sticking because of the FR4 material or is sticking because of the holes in the perf board.

Are you going to try the perf board?

It works on the same principle as a raft. Reduce the number of contact points of ABS so the warping stress doesn't pull so hard on the corners.

The material compatibility is mostly coincidental to the ABS improvement.
