I'm trying to decide what material to construct my walls from. I have little experience with printing ABS. What would be the highest ambient temperature on would want to print ABS with so I can decide on the thermal limit of wall materials.

    Thanks.

Has anyone looked at annealing their prints? This is standard procedure for extruded ABS and PVC parts, and for machined ABS parts where large amounts of material have been removed. Typically when you extrude the larger the webs the more the part warps, and the more important annealing becomes. Basically this process is no different. Conventional wisdom would be to quench quickly, then anneal, controlled cooling would help, but a true anneal would be better. here is a std annealing process:

Once I get my machine Ill have to give it a try....

Thamer, at this juncture and from what I have seen on this and other forums there are few if any solid guidelines yet. and in my opinion places like this are and other forums are going to be your best and fastest way to get answers. Take for instance printing with ABS right now I do it with a slightly heated bed 45C and hairspray on regular glass very similar to PLA, noone else claims to be doing that, that I know of even here but it works for me and you certainly won't find that in a book. Things in the field are changing so fast right now it is astounding. It ranks right up there with changes in the computer technology field. I but most of the statements in the book are probably outdated already. if its cheap enough maybe get it but I would use it as a one of many sources for answers not the only one.
