Hello, i just got the Robo R1, and straight out of the box the hot end got clogged, after looking at some videos i was able to fix that issue. on its first print it started printing fine, but after a few layers the hot end temp. drops below 210 degrees and the whole print stops and the printer makes not attempts to cancel the print or reheat the hot end. its my first printer so i m not sure how to proceed.

    Thank you

Download Cura and try with that. Here is a link to Mike Kelly thread on how to set it up http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/how-to-cura-setup.4169/ . Mattercontrol is not good at all. It's best to start off with one of the better softwares to use right off of the bat. Once you setup Cura do a test print and see if the issue continues. If it still happens then we know it's either a firmware issue or a hardware issue. If you need help setting up Cura feel free to ask here on in the chat by clicking the shoutbox tab at the top of the page.

Once you do switch (or even if you do not) look for errors in the communications log when this problem occurs.
There will be something in there that will help identify what the problem is.

Could be a loose thermistor as well.

That is possible. It shouldn't even begin if that were the case though. Hmmm

Jbigler I tried Cura, it worked for a few more layer than matter control and stopped again.

Is that something i can fix ? or should i just return it ?

Can you try and just turn the hotend to temp and let it sit there for like 30 minutes to an hour?

When the hot end temp drops is the print head still moving around, just nothing is coming out? Is the extruder spinning?

This could be a poor USB connection.

I just started to get the same type of error. I recently bought a new Hexagon Nozzle and installed it. I use Simplify 3D for the slicing. Things were going get but a wire from the termister broke. I replaced it and now I get a Low Temp error message in the same spot every time while printing. Could it be G Code error or something else?

Loose/bad connection to the thermistor or maybe a bad thermistor...
Something makes the temp drop (or seem to).

I'm curious what the original error is, if any. That's just kind of a spoof error.

I'm looking for something like temp fall, min temp, max temp.

Also a picture of your temp graph would be nice.

Possible a bad polyfuse that's tripping off causing your temp to drop.

So i loaded a 24 hour job and after the first layer i got these errors

Recv: Error:Extruder switched off. Temperature fell too much during print!
Changing monitoring state from 'Printing' to 'Error: Extruder switched off. Temperature ...'
Recv: Error:printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)
Recv: Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)
    Recv: ok

I am getting the same exact issue. The print stops (and heater) when temperature drops below 200C. Temperature readout has a slow decline roughly 1C/10sec; so, I don't think it is a bad thermistor connection or component. Possibly the heating circuit has a hiccup? This happened to me using both mattercontrol and cura.
