How much scrap will I make?

    @JeffJanes posted a question about this on the shoutbox.

    The answer to this is going to vary significantly based on what you are doing. Probably first few months, you will generate a very high percentage of scrap. You will be printing up calibration cubes and other things that have no use. If you start out printing small simple things, your high percentage of scrap won't amount to much in $$ of plastic.

    Then, each time you take a new step and push your capabilities (i.e. you're trying a larger size part, new material, larger overhang) you'll probably scrap a print or two.

    Other than that, it will depend on the reliability of the Robo and how much effort you spend on making sure it is well maintained and calibrated prior to starting a print. Assuming you do a good job there, you should expect very high success rates for things that you know how to do.
