I got a jam and ended up making it worse trying to fix it and now I've got plastic almost completely filling the heartbreak. I've got the extruder disassembled and I can tell the jam is isolated to just the heat break. I've heard of people putting parts in acetone or baking in an oven them to remove plastic. I have an e3d v6 and it's pla that's jammed.

I got it out. I screwed the heat break just a little bit into the hot end and then I heated up the hot end and let it sit for 5 minutes to get the heat break real hot and then I used one of the allen keys that came with the v6 kit to clean it out because I realized the allen key was only a tiny bit smaller than the 1.75mm filament. I've yet to put everything back together, but I see no reason for it not to work.
