You need to give a lot more information on your wants and needs, what your going todo with it and materials your wanting to run. Budget? Do you want to tinker or it to just work? Speed? Quality etc

Well then a Stratasys J750 is clearly what you need. They print.

So far, I love my Robo C2. The price was great for the print resolution. It seems to do PLA plastic well at least so far. The footprint is small enough not to cause any grief with the girlfriend, yep, yep...

You can do a few other types as well, you will just need to experiment a bit. Once we get our shop relocated I will be testing everything on it and see what works (PLA, PET, PETG, Nylons of various flavors, etc.) some things (like PC and some nylons) are simply not going to work since they want bed heat. I'll see what else we can get away with :)

I'm a clever bugger, so I'll add a few mods on here to expand my horizons, so-to-speak. I also envision removing the side curtains and adding a pair of rollers to do something a quilter might do, progressively work on a very wide piece of fabric a bit at a time. If you think about it, industrial label printers do the same. There's a source and a take-up roller and the print bed is the focus of the activity.

Now just imagine this sideways through the C2 and run a long, 6"-wide sheet of Silpat/silicone from a feed roller to a take-up roller on the opposite side. You'd then have to translate the standard X-related motor commands into movement in the two external rollers instead.

The reason for something like this would be to allow you to make a long and thin part in one piece, like the neck of a cello.
