Interesting information from Thomas Sanladerer on using ABS

I stick my abs machines (open machines) in the closet with a space heater lol. (same principle I think). its just a PITA. I like the zortrax for my abs prints . no hassle just works.

 

I think Thomas would rather people spend their time getting Co-Polymer filaments tuned in rather than print with ABS. I too would rather print with PET than ABS.

 

I was able to get better results with an IR heater lamp (aimed at the print) but the enclosure @Mike Kelly did and sold with @Printed Solid is the best way to go.

Yea, I never use ABS any more.

 

I keep getting abs spools given to me lol. Im using ABS but not really any advantage over xt, ngen or pet that i can tell in my parts (other than free cuz nobody wants to print with abs lol)

Preference....same as you guys lol. Xt is my go to
