Is this too close?

    I feel like my Z offset might be too close to the print bed. Does this look like a good result (skirt & 1st layer) for a Z offset, or might it be too close?

    Also, not a bad 50mm bridge test using Simplify3D on the R2 . . . .

    Your first image looks like it has wagon wheel rut in spots :) to use the example from that link.

    Might want to calibrate the extruder (or at least check the extruder calibration) to insure you are not over extruding. The R1 series was never even close, the C2 was much better. Still worth checking though.
