Just got my printer a couple of days ago and I started to use Cura. But nozzle is touching the bed as it starts to print causing PLA to ball up and not creat lines. Found a thread stating that I need Z-offset in startup G-code. Typed in "more negative is further from the bed." This seemed to work. Got two decent prints. Then PLA seemed to start to ball up and not extrude very well as if the nozzle is not hot enough to extrude. Also tried to print using Mattercontrol. Same issue with nozzle and bed having no space between them. Can't find any thread with this issue .Is there a fix for this in MatterControl?

There is an entire thread on getting Cura going. You can find it over here:

(MatterControl threads are over there as well)

Sounds like you initial Z offset is not defined in either of them -- someone who uses that software can chime in.
