Okay jam/plugged extruder. I cannot figure out how to get the hot end off! Where are those two screws hiding? So frustrated with this, 4 prints and BAM! Any pictures or videos ?

Loosen the top screw in this picture, then slide out the aluminum plate to remove the nozzle.

you probably won't see it visually as it's underneath the carriage, you'd need to look from below to see it. You'd do better just pulling on the aluminum tab, it'll come out.

Mr. Kelly, you are the man!! It is out with the piece of jammed blue end hanging out. Off to heat it up and hope I pull it out gently and cleanly! Thanks!

Do I have to remove the two screws or is pulling the aluminum thing out with some force ok?

You wouldn't need to remove them, loosening one is plenty. Though I think pulling it out is fine.

So i followed all the steps, did a test print. All seems ok but i have a bit of a wiggle when i move it with my finger.

Is this ok? I mean so far the print looks ok, just want to make sure i have it set right.

Hmm mine doesn't wiggle at all. Does the head spin or is it more of a tilting action?

Tighten down the screw that holds the clamp

The head doesn't spin it just has a very slight wiggle if you apply preassure. I tightened it pretty tight but perhaps the other screw loosened by swinging the arm out. I'll try and tighten that one tonight.

I did a rather large print last night, and it came out pretty clean so it's not impacting my prints. At least not yet

A slight wiggle when you push it is ok If it moves during movement that's when you have issues

Ok that's what I figured, if I start having issues I'll re mount.

Mike, I had a jam in the extruder of my robo R1 plus, I removed the extruder, cleared the jam and put it back to together. Now my extruder won't heat up past 48, what didn't I connect correctly?

Sounds like the thermistor is loose or not connected correctly.
I have no clue how that is connected on the R1+

Yeah I'd agree. The thermistor is messed up. Either it's not properly seated inside the heater block, or there's a loose connection somewhere

does the silver end need to be screwed off? What can be done to clear the clog? I have tried the oil method with the end super hot

The nozzle (the brass tip the filament comes out of) will come off of the heater block (the big square part where the wires are attached to the 'heater'). Which will allow you to heat up the block and fully clear the feed path.

Oiling/seasoning has to be done when the nozzle is clear and working normally.
