JDM_'s RoBo 3D

RoBo has arrived!

My first print cam out pretty good. Just a calibration cube out of PLA.



The only issues is the overhangs sagged a bit and the top cube is kinda rounded. I'm sure some settings tweaks should solve these issues. I used the suggested factory settings in the startup guide.

 

I was surprised at how smooth and quiet the printer runs.

 

Thanks for sharing! Some video would be nice if you have the chance...nice to see this bad boy in action!

 

I will post some video as soon as I get set up to do it. Still trying to figure out the best way to record several hours worth of printing.

I am printing parts for my Filastruder now. Will post more pics tomorrow.

 

Here is the Filastruder hopper I printed today. Didn't come out as food as I hoped. I actually lowered the nozzle temp a little part of the way through. Hopefully it will clean up enough to be usable. All the strait parts came out great. No sig of Z wobble.









I printed at 300 micron layer height @ 185 degrees with sain smart PLA. It was at 190 dutton the rounded parts.

All done. I will clean up the edges and post another pic later. The one thing I have noticed is how well all the layers line up. No Z-wobble on this printer! I'm very happy with the quality of RoBo 3D so far.

 

Here it is after I used an X-Acto knife to clean up the edges. Again this is only my 3rd print. RoBo prints great right out of the box. Notice how strait strait/square the overhang (open boxes) printed. This was printed with no supports added.

Looking great JDM glad to see you are having success! Looks like you are printing right on the heated plate no tape or anything, how difficult is it to remove parts?

 

There is Kapton tape over the heater.
