So I know the team said they were going to get some taulman 618 to test out, I was hoping they could also get some laywood and test that out as well. This way when they start to ship the printers can give us guidelines to printing with these materials since it seems each printer is a little different. What do you guys think?

Looks like they did it already! Newest update has a test print with wood.

Yeah Justin they did mention that in the previous update so I am a little confused that they had a laywood test and not a nylon. I mentioned that to them in the comments of the latest update.

They are still testing with Nylon. Let me get verification that I can post a picture of the Nylon test. But for now, I can just say it came out amazing.

Nylon has a higher melting point than PLA and ABS, and extrudes in the range of 235° to 270°C. This is in the range of the softening point of PEEK, Peek starts to get soft or melt around 240. I'm curious to see how there hot end held up considering its made of peek material.

What cambo brings up is why I had originally asked about the hot end. I had read that many hot ends cannot support printing due to this issue not due to the fact that the hot end does not have the ability to reach temperature

I should also say, having a fan on the peek area while using nylon is probably a must have to keep the temperature down, I had forgotten that one is included with ours so it might be okay, just might.. cool it enough to be in the safe range for peek.
