    Hi,
I thought I share this with you.
When I looked at my Robo, I realized that it was almost a closed case with the exception of the front and back side.

So I decided that some sort of cover on the front and back could reduce the air flow from the bed to outer space drastically. I got 2 sheets of acrylic glass, printed 2 flaps to cover the sides, glued them together and bended 2 hooks from alloy as you can see on the pictures.

At the end, I got 40°C in 16cm height under that cover, and it feels like it helps against warping.

Cost of material : approx. 7€
    2x acrylic glass
    2 strips of alloy
    4x screws M3X20 + nuts

Even if it doesn't, if it qualifies for the green IT award (^_-)

It can't hurt. It is not a perfect solution, but if it traps more heat in/near the bed then it will help.

Just don't print anything too big or else you'll hit the plexiglass :)

Mathias my idea went along those lines as well you could print side pieces theattatchtoe the edge of the plexi and match the curvesof the case actually enclose it everywhere the plexi is

@mark: true. This is why I left the plexi flat. My initial thoughts were to bend it to the case but that would reduce the space even more.
@tesseract: I'm thinking of adding some tesa moll (not sure how this is called in the us/uk) to close the remaining gaps. It's used to isolate old drafty windows.

Dude. I was thinking about exact same thing just earlier today.

Hinge does not need to be there, it could be at the top end of the glass.
It would be cheaper to but plexiglass out rathern then printing the sides. Then fill gaps with some silicone.
Plenty of heat will stay in the chaimber, but why ? Do you get layers split or something ? Warping ?
All of those problems are fixed by print settings, not ambient temperature. Ambient temperature only helps, not solves.

You can't really do anything in the print settings about Warping. It mainly helps a bit against it.

It's getting worse if you reduce the layer height, and it increases when it's cooling down too fast.
    Applies for abs mostly.
