MatterControl - Exporting g-code

    The only way I could export from MC was to actually connect to the printer. It appears MC doesn't slice until you connect. Kind of defeats the purpose of the SD in the LCD no? Of course I can work around it by connecting temporarily but am I doing something wrong?

    Opinion only : but other than messing with MC you are probably doing nothing 'wrong' :)
    Experiment with the other free ones (Repetier host is really good and fairly stable).
    If you outgrow them eventually then consider Simplify3D.
