I felt like the right angle bowden tube was not better than a 180 tube. Less bends this way:

Finally you fixed the angle. That arc will help a ton. I bet you could even go back to the hercustruders with that arc.

    Mike

Did you build your own aluminum lower plate or did you have it machined by someone? I was wondering about ordering bare plate stock that I could cut to size and use a drill press to make all the holes, but getting things machined just right could be the trick. I want to make everything threaded where the stock is just a screw into plastic so that I can get a solid grip that won't strip out as easily.

    mike three questions:

What is the point of adding weight on the Z axis? (to counter the weight of the stepper?)

could you share your stl for the outside extruder mount

Just to know how mutch have you spend on upgrades with your robos ?

    1) I was having issues with my autoleveler tripping early and I thought it was due to the weight imbalance. Though I think now it was because my setup was homegrown so it wasn't quite as well tuned as the stock setup. I don't need it on my stock R1.

    2) Yeah, I'll put it up on thingiverse. If I don't do it in the next day or 2 remind me again

    3) How much have I spent is kinda of a hard question to answer because I've swapped things in and out. I can get you a pretty good estimate of what i'm currently running though, exl shipping:

    Robo3D Integrated Lead Screws: $50
    Dual Bondtech V2: $174
    Geared Steppers: $58
    Cyclops/Chimera: Free from beta testing
    Aluminum plate: $39
Y axis upgrade: ~$20 for the rod and lm8uu's.

The rest was printed or repurposed.

another stepper driver since the ramps only has 1

plus a new carriage for mounting the chimera on (like what I made on thingiverse)

@janot928 a stepper driver is a board that plus into your RAMPS board, are you asking for that or something else?

It should also be noted that dual extrusion is not easy, nor will I walk you through how to do it because it requires a serious understanding of the process. If you're looking for improved supports Simplify3D is generally cheaper and easier. Dual color is fun but not very useful most of the time. And dual material can be a headache even more so.
