It's been great. I didn't install a thermostat yet because I haven't fully decided how to do it or if it's necessary. I'm working on finalizing my conversion to 24v and get a stable build platform before worrying too much about the ambient conditions.

Non-disclosure of your product is a good idea until it goes live. Would you, however, be willing to say what market space you're targeting?

After who knows how many hours of work I'm finally up and running. Feels real good. More to come soon.

I need to learn how to change filament on the fly. Very cool.

That is actually his dual extruders he and I are the only ones to have done it so far.
You could do it with the color change on the fly but not nearly as precisely and this you just start and let it run its nice

Of course, silly me. Once I get the hexagon installed and working nice i guess I'll buy a second one to go in yours and mike's dual extruder x carriage, with some modification for the hexagon. My todo list keeps growing.

Mike, do you find hexagon performing better than E3D?

What bowden extrudes are you using? They look nice and compact. I think bowden is the way to go even for a single extruder too. Getting the motor weight off the x axis should increase the speed a little.

I haven't gotten the hexagons running. I've only had time to model one.

I do like how small they are and will add some z height back.

I use the ezstruder for my cold end. I modified my hobbed pulley to be 6mm ID instead of 5 to use them on geared stepper.

I do think it's a good design idea to remove the motor from the carriage and with my mounting plate you could easily do that on the stock carriage

Largest ABS build to date. Second nozzle decided to jam early on but the abs kept kicking. Delamination towards the top with a 50C enclosure. Time I start working on my ambient heater control.

I'm gonna glue it down with some slurry then vapor polish it before printing the roof and securing that together.

Mike, what is it you're printing?

Is your mounting plate for Bowden setup on thingiverse, and for a single head setup?

I'm gonna try some nylon pulls, I hope it fixes it. Don't need to replace another damn nozzle.

Someone had mentioned wanting to do a single E3D Bowden. I'm working on that. I'm waiting on a push to connect for the ezstruder then I can test. Here's how it looks right now...
    e3d_bowden_robo3d.JPG

I have heat reflective tape on the underside in the hopes of not melting the carriage. I've heated it up a few times to test the LED code and so far, so good. Once I'm sure it isn't going to melt & if anyone is interested, I'll put it up on Thingiverse. Mike, I apologize for the hijacking.
