My display touchscreen went flaky. It was forever gather crap at the bottom, requiring me to clean out with a dental pick to restore function. I keep spares and decided to change out the display. After removing screws, but not all of them no matter how hard I felt around the box, I used a big screw driver to pry off the bezel. To my surprise the R2 display had mounting holes in each corner and my spare did not.

I decided to use RTV to mount the display. The RTV would seal the bottom from future crap and I needed to get the machine up and running without waiting.

The display works fine with a red line (RTV) runing around the edge.

If I had clear RTV I would have used it, red I had.

I replaced the second screen and used clear RTV. The screen was fine while drying. The next morning when fully dry the touch screen no longer worked. The clear must be harder than the red or it was just dumb luck when it worked the first time with the red RTV.
