Any way to fill these gaps? I’m using Simplify3D. This is the print preview. I’m trying to make some cookie cutters and I need them as solid as possible. Im using a .4 nozzle. Is that the reason these gaps won’t fill?

    .4 nozzle
    .3 micron
    2 outline/perimeter
    50% infill

    TIA
    Andy

try increasing the outline overlap until they go away.
I assume you have the extrusion width to "auto"

Extrusion width is set to manual .40 and I have outline overlap at 15%

Keep going then :) Higher ... see if you can get it to improve.

Should I have extrusion width on Auto? 60% seems to be looking about where I need to be.

I never change it from auto. It will try and adapt the width to the nozzle diameter and it will generally be slightly larger than the actual nozzle diameter. It does a fine job in auto.

Changing the extrusion width in S3D actually forces S3D to extrude a bit more plastic, but you can't really use it predictably or reliably. I have mine set to 0.48 mm with a 0.4 mm nozzle, others leave it on auto.

When I set mine to auto, it went to .48 by default. Seems like a fair midway point between the two points from all of your views. I think that is how i will set it. Thank you all. Also, you guys helped me with some herringbone gears awhile back. I bought 910 Alloy Nylon, printed them but they just tear apart. Do you guys know where I can just buy some or do any of you print and sell them? It's getting me in a bind. No pun intended.

many options, someone can print and send to you, you can upload the files through 3dhubs of the similar, we can help you figure out why your nylon prints are not strong (layer ahesion I'd bet?). Your call :D

I was trying to print out another set with the setting mentioned in the previous replies. 100% infill though. It won’t stick to my bed. Tried hairspray (which worked in the past) and gluestick. 245 degrees and 60 degrees bed.

The gears just burst apart and the small one just falls apart from itself.

Taulman lists the specs at: Print temp = 250C - 260C

You sir are getting poor interlayer bonding because you are likely too cold :)

Indeed, much to cold. I print nylons on most machines around 265ish.
