New elastic filament?

Wow! So, my sniff detector tells me this is bogus, but if it is, its really well done.

Yes, really elaborate if its a fake. I'm sure you could fake something like that by printing the cases, then making a silicone mold, and placing the mold on the build plate.

The thing that makes me the most suspicious is: 'you can't push a string'. I would think that would bind up in a bowden and buckle in a direct drive. Still, i.materialize put up some elastic printable material that looked pretty good do maybe its real.

Hey Dan, it is still a mystery if this is even a real filament. Their site is now "Down For Maintenance" so lets see when it comes back online.

 

Also, I did contact about a week ago 3Ders to alert them of this new filament (That is how they get their content, people tell them). They emailed me back saying that they do not have enough information to prove it is valid at this moment, so would not write about it. I'll keep you posted if they do get back to me again.
