Just happened to see this one my Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/troxellcomm/status/1092185465334218754

Where did this thing come out of? Its on the Robo website too, coming mid/late February: https://robo3d.com/collections/3d-printers/products/robo-e3

This printer totally feels like it is a rebranded Monoprice Voxel (which I think was a rebranded flashforge):
    https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=33820

Anyone else have more info about it? Perhaps they intend this to expand their StemKits program and replace the C2?

They also talk about software coming soon for RoboCloud (maybe Polar Cloud) and RoboPrint (FlashPrint) remakes?

@WheresWaldo seems to agree its a rebranded Flashforge Adventurer 3 (just like the MP Voxel). I am curious as to why the rebrand versus something new. Although it has a heated bed compared to the C2, it's printing temp is lower (250 vs 290 on C2), it doesn't really fit the bill as a C2 replacment. Granted, it's "fully enclosed" compared to the C2, so maybe this was just a way to have something to help meet the needs of the MyStemKits initiative.

I thought maybe Robo was working on a next gen R2/C2, or even a larger version (i would dub it the X2) ...this would seem to be quite contrary as they release this as a new printer. It also appears to have no webcam, but the Voxel does, and I thought the Adventurer 3 did too.

Pretty sure this is for the education market only.

Which they have tried (and failed a time or two) to get into a few times (with R1 and C2).
Not sure how many times they may have succeeded since we only see the fails :)

Agreed, definitely aimed at Education - looks like it could still be bought for public use upon release. Guess I was just hoping for something new/more than a rebranded device

Edu focused machine, why rebrand? No idea other than likely way cheaper vs ROI a new gen when edu doesn’t care as long as it prints. The bundle with stem kits for a school would be a great deal as they basically get a free printer. Will be interesting to see how it goes. I’m trying to get one but without the extras... just the printer. We shall see.

Edit: no not free, just want to only pay for the printer lol

Sometimes you have to cheat a bit to stay ahead.

The Monoprice Voxel (the same rebrand) is typically $319.99 to $399.99 and comes in black or white. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something about this new offering, education focus or not

Nicely done. If they can deliver that it would be a good fit.

I imagine since rumor is the E3 is already preordered for their entire district, that likely support is tier 2 only for EDU. I doubt very much they will go through the call center like standard practice has been in the past, but I dont have any evidence of that :D

Getting good support working in a business is like riding a bike. You are going to take a lot of nasty spills before you can actually ride ;)
Theirs is slightly complicated because both hardware and software are involved (heh.... trust me that complicates things)

I do hope that for EDU their attention level in support is better than on the consumer side. I wouldn't doubt that if they could make some inroads in school districts across the US that they might even scale back their consumer business. That is exactly opposite of what Apple did but I am just guessing here.

If they are smart about it they will start a dedicated unit to do that support from the front-end at least.
