@daniel871 I believe that is only true of the R1 firmware not the R1PLUS firmwares.

Matter control.. I hear it's lousy but I'll deal with that another time.
    Options, Hardware, EEPROM configure.
Then alter the steps per me for E.

Oddly... after the M502, M500 and the EEPROM reverting to default I then entered the 498.88 again. It extruded exactly 100mm with the next test.

From the terminal screen in MatterControl you can issue a M503 command, and it will tell you the settings it is currently using.

If you did not load them with the arduino compiler you did not change the firmware-- mattercontrol lets you change the flash eprom :)

That's what I thought but the settings have reverted to default after a power cycle. Anyway it's calibrated. Thank you for all your help. I'll configure and update the firmware.

I decided to do a test print. When it homed the z axis. It missed that annoying micro switch and ran the extruder into the bed
Whatever next. Now I need to level it all again. I'll switch to the newer levelling system, moving the micro switch, as soon as I can print some new [IMG]

    They're both fractured and moving.

Epoxy can hold that in place long enough to print new ones.

I finally printed the new ones and it's definitely made a difference. I also picked up a cheap CTC printer.
I've printed the parts for the bed levelling mod but had no time to install it.
