Upload locally, vs upload to SD?

What is the difference? ( Other than upload to SD seems to also think its printing and i have to reboot octo print to get it out of that screwed up state )

Local is to the box running OctoPi, SD is the SD attached to the Arduino.

One more random question, where is the camera view? I can't find it at all. does that mean my camera isn't compatible? I don't even see where it would be at in the web interface.

It should be under the Control link. It will appear above the buttons.

Seems like my camera doesn't work;. im not suprised. Its a Sony Playstation Eye. I have used it on a diffrent PI before but not with octo print and i had to do some crazy stuff to get it to work.

I tried this link http://192.168.1.17/webcam/?action=stream which is my octopi ip locally... and nothing..so I guess nothing shows up if the camera doesn't work right? ( like no options or even a camera view that is blank? )

Yep, cheap USB webcam or a Logitech USB might be better choices. One more note, I have been following the OctoPi github issues and there was some information I noted about the Pi3. The testers say if you are at a Pi2 don't bother. Python on the Pi only uses 1 core no matter which version so the improvement in speed is minimal at best.

The dirt cheap USB web cams seem to work flawlessly.

I've been using the PS3 eye camera with octopi for three weeks now and it works great. You have to change the camera settings in /boot/octopi.txt to include camera_usb_options="-y -q 75 -f 1"
