Part Deformation

Wondering what I need to tweak?

I'm an additive noob and I'm hoping you additive pro's will know what I need to tweak. The deformation of concern is the cylindrical section... the pixellation on the part edges is just that, a bad zoom shot (sorry).

I've tried printing this part using both medium and high quality STL creation from Fusion 360, and I've sent this to print using the resident R2 Cura slicer in both medium and high quality slice mode.

 

Would be nice to know the outer and inner diameter of the cylinder and the other holes on there. Since you've zoomed things in so much, I could guess that this is a small part.

 

If it's a small part, you might need to slow it down.

Thanks to everyone else for the suggestions and the troubleshooting link. I'll start with temperature and speed adjustments. What reductions steps are typical with this go/no-go determination (typically)? Or what is the lowest range for Robo PLA?

Can you send me the STL or OBJ file, I have tons of setup settings. I can print it in whatever material you are using and send you my settings. With all the storms heading our way I am not printing anything, so I have plenty of time to play with the R2. LOL

 

So... OD is maybe 0.2mm (0.17mm) there? And the nozzle on the printer is what, 0.4mm which is twice that? I've had a lot of trouble printing tiny detail from the default nozzle on my C2 (0.4mm). Scale your part to 8 times its current size and it will likely print fine. I bet if you re-oriented your model (say, into the X/Z plane) in your slicer, the Z aspect of that tiny detail would look better than X. I've got a smaller nozzle myself on order.

 

I saw the "JPG-jaggies" and knew that it was hella-zoomed.
