So it can run fanless? Is that the only advantage over the E3D?

they took so long to come out with this, I was waiting for ever and with no updates for so long I ended up getting the E3d. I'm not sure if it will be any better then the E3D. Will the longer melt zone make a different for anything?

Interesting. For the Robo3D would you use a Groovemount or flatmount ?

Melody, groove mount is the standard J-head mount. Their language is ambiguous. You don't need to pledge $8 extra for groove mount. Only if you want a grove mount plate to mount the groove mount equipped hot end to.

Leon, ahh, ok. I was really kind of confused. Thank you for clearing that up for me. :)

I have to say though that I really like this design. It's pretty elegant. Since it's a unibody design (other than the nozzle itself allowing for nozzle changes) it means there are less pieces to lose/destroy (hopefully). Also no more kapton tape! Annoying stuff. :p

I'm not quite convinced that this one will be thermally any better than the E3D, actually, I think it'll be worse as the cooling fins are off the center. Other than the thermal image on KS might suggest, the temperature won't ever be distributed as shown on the picture. I'd have fear that the filament gets melted uneven and vertical.
Might not be an issue, still, I won't like it.
    my 2ct.
