    R1+ printer
    Matter Control Slicer

Printer Stops after about 20 minutes. When I tap the laptop to open back up and look at Matter Control it says the printer is not connected. I use Windows 8.1.

It seems like when the lap top screen closes could be when the printer stops. I have not had this problem before.

If you are printing via USB then Windows is putting the port to sleep Try copying file to an SD and print from there instead.

If your laptop has an SD card reader, you can slice the file and save it to the card. Remove the card from the laptop and put it in the R1. Then you should be able to start the print via the USB connection and then disconnect the cable from the printer. The printer will keep printing the file from the SD card.

Most people around here use an LCD controller, either the 4 line or the full graphics and that makes printing from the SD card even easier.
