I have been printing for about a year now and having great fun and learning many new things.

I get many requests for "cute" things and office stuff like pen holders, marker holders, coasters and such which I give away gladly just for the fun of it all.

Yesterday, I got a request for a larger project which will take about 18 - 20 hours to print. They offered to pay me and said we would talk after I'm done.

Those of you who are actually printing for income must have a standard you use for such things. May I pick your brains and ask you what you charge for prints and how do you determine cost?

    Thanks.

Print time, if I have to model, material and my general time. I take all these into account. When it was only one machine many moons ago I doubled material and 3 bucks an hour. You can always upload your stl to 3D hubs and get a your area general price and not do the order
