So far I'm liking the new R1 +plus printer and the updated Matter Control software. Last summer I tried to print this musician I scanned in, and couldn't get the guitar to print. Now it prints . . . . well almost acceptable.

This is a lady I scanned in yesterday with the Sense hand held scanner and printed last night.

Looks nice, scans tend to be really tricky to print

This one I added a tan spray paint over the white plastic. (three people scanned at different times put together in tinkercad.)

For the most part I have the default settings. The only one's I've changed are these:

Fill material I've set at 20%
I've checked both boxes on repair

I don't use support material unless I absolutely have to then these setting:
    Lines
    10 degrees

When I use the XT filament from color fab I also change the bed to 70c and the head to 250 for the layers until it starts doing the fill material, then I turn it down to 245.

I print on medium quality (I haven't had much luck with the high quality prints of the portraits.)

Scanner I use is the Sense Handheld scanner, then I use Tinkercad to resize and make sure the bottom is on the print bed (sense program has a nasty habit of putting it a few mm's off the print bed)

So I had a guy call and ask if I could do a portrait of his son with his bike. My standard answer is "I haven't tried that yet . . . but it should work." Learned that bikes are hard to scan! Have a little clean up to do from the fill material but not bad.
