I got one print finished on my brand new R2.
On the second print I got the error: heating failed. system stopped!heater_id:bed
I've seen similar posts here but don't see one for this exact error.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Also, how can I set the default settings to PLA?

Settings depend on how you are slicing and printing. You need to change those in the slicer. If you are using OctoPrint for both then you need to change the settings under the printer profile.

Wow, I just experienced exactly the same problem. I was able to print one item with my new R2, then I got the "
R2 error: Heating failed. system stopped!heater_id:bed" message, and couldn't print anything else. This is a new unit. The pogo pins look fine, and the bed is properly seated. So far, tech support hasn't helped.
