Replace that old style Bowden tube

    The tube going from the filament sensor to the extruder... the original tubing specification is mediocre. Replace it with Capricorn tubing (link posted above). The Capricorn tubing is slicker. You can feel the difference when feeding filament to the extruder. This mod will help when you print with TPU filament. (like NinjaFlex as an example)

    Yes, we did that on our large delta printer (6 foot bowden tube) and it is certainly worth the effort.
    Works a lot better.

    On all of my printers I went to a 4mm id and 6mm od tube. This works much better, wavy filament passes right through. The tube is just a guide, I see no reason to have a 2mm hole that will not pass cheap filaments.

    The friction co-efficient is lower for Capricorn tubing vs the factory issued tubing. Add to that, the fact that the Capricorn tubing is a direct replacement and a 6mm od tube is not.

    It made a large difference on our large delta machine (6 feet tall, 5 foot long bowden).
