Solved [REPRAPGURU] 2004 LCD Smart Display Controller - With RoBo R1

    At this point have tried everything. Swapping cables and the contrast. I tried putting the SD card in and the screen goes black. I think I have a diff one

    I agree. And one nice feature of these is that connecting them incorrectly is not fatal (well, unless you REALLY do it incorrectly) :)

    Well, something failed there.
    It is still not working correctly.

    BUT your LCD is NOT the one in the title of this thread.

    And it is controlled by different lines in the CONFIGURATION.H (although it does require UG8.LIB and the other one does not so you got that much right).

    You really should have started a new thread since this one is not your LCD.
