Answered Robo R1 heater for bed

    Since I still am on the R1, and looks like they won't be selling the heater on the website, any recommendation on what heater for the bed would work on the R1, my glass is good but the heater is not, also need something that goes atleast 80-100C, thanks.

    There are quite a few threads on replacing the R1 bed heater with a SCR and Silicone heat pad, a search should get you a bunch of recommendations.

    Should be fine. You might want to consider updating the built in power supply to a slightly larger one although I imagine the built-in will still be fine.

    THis is the same size as the stock one (350w):

    Obviously I would suggest the largest one, I only included the stock sized one for a reference :)

    The 400w is cheaper too ... shop around as those were quick searches on Amazon -- you may find better deals.

    Since the stock heater is 130w and you are looking at 220w you are almost jumping the power by 100w. I know there is some overhead in the stock power supply, but not sure that it is 100w :)

    I got the 350w meanwell power supply and it works great for my R1+
