    Hi all,
Tried to print various prints from thingiverse.com ( Apple watch dock - 3-4 prints and some more ), and after a while the printer just shuts down, black screen. i have to pull the power cord and connect again, and the printer starts. i have tried to print the test print that came with the printer, and it came out just fine! i also managed to print some small prints like rings for my daughter. Any thoughts anyone ?
    Thanks

That is the documentation I linked to for how to view the GCode terminal in MatterControl. If you are not using MatterControl then find the GCode terminal in whatever software you are using. Then, when the problem occurs, read through that looking for ERROR

You posted in the R1 sub-forum. Moving this to the R2 sub-forum.

There is a way to get error logs from OctoPrint. I'll let @Geof or @WheresWaldo comment on the specifics for the R2

If you are not using OctoPrint please provide the details of how you are printing.

OctoPrint Settings has the log files. the current log is just called octoprint.log and the entries are in chronological order. The newest entries at the end of the file. You have to actually download the file then you can open it in any text editor.

    Ho there,
Thanks for the response, how do I download the log file. From what I’ve seen in the terminal when connected to the printer it just shuts down and the work error does not appear.
Can you tell me how to download the log file using my IP address ?
    Thanks !

Icon at the end of the line listing octoprint.log. It is a down arrow surrounded by a circle.

Please copy and paste about 10 lines before and after that error.

A google search indicated that this is a kivy library for multi-touch displays. That is not available on the rPi so it can be ignored.

This was happening to me as well, after about an 1 - 3 hours of printing normally, the printer would turn off. My issue was the power brick. I had an old one and the loud fan actually stopped working and it was overheating.

Did you just switch to a different power brick and issue solved ?

Yes, as soon as I changed power bricks, the issue has never happened again. I have done 40+ hour prints with no turn off.

Tried chasing power brick it actually solved 50% of the problem. Now it prints like 10 hours and then shuts down...

That doesn't appear to be a complete log file. Or it isn't the current file.
