Solved ROBO3D upgraded Metal Extruder fan stopped working

So I am one of the ones that got the free upgrade to the metal extruder head when I got my printer, but the little fan that was added on (with the unimpressive printed part) has stopped working. It seems like the case of the fan may have warped due to the heat of the extruder, which cause the motor to jam and burn out. I am just wondering how important this added motor is and if I should go through the trouble of replacing it?

 

The hotend won't work if the hot end fan isn't running.

Submit a replacement part request as they had a batch of fans that seemed to have a higher than normal failure rate.
