so I decided to buy simplify 3d and I got what seems to most stuff working so far (just started to play around with it) but it doesn't seem like the cooling fan in working? even with manual control but it still does in matter control?

anyone else have this problem or ideas on how to fix it?

    The parts cooling fan?

If you are using ABS it should never be on, for PLA... probably (except for the first few layers).

Upload the G-code of what you're trying to print. Look after the first layer for a command to enable the fan.

In case anyone else had this problem I just had this problem. Sorry to dig up an old thread but.

Under Tools->Firmware Configuration make sure you have RepRap(Marlin/Repiter/Sprinter) selected.

I had MakerBot/Sailfish selected because i'm always switching back and forth between my replicator2 and ROBO3D.

    The problem is MakerBot/Sailfish uses
M126 for its cooling fan setting
    and RepRap uses
    M106

Anyway, since I had the wrong firmware selected simplify3d was plugging
M126 S255 into my gcode which doesn't do anything on my ROBO3D

Works for me now.. honestly i'm surprised thats the only problem i have had by running the wrong firmware profile in simplify3d LOL.
