For those of you using Sketchup, are there any tutorials you used that you would recommend to others?
I would like to be able to point people to some tutorials that help them learn how to create a model with decent (i.e. close enough that it can be fixed in netfabb) geometry.

Sketchup is so user friendly and easy to use that you learn-as-you go for most of the things.

The occasional google search will solve all the detail or how-to questions that might arise, as the documentation is rather good and -most importantly- someone else has had the same question before you did.

The greatest problem with sketchup is accuracy on very small models. That's why one should model in x100 scale and downscale when exporting the .stl.
