well, at least I get a free lunch
W/supports removed. Even though Simplify makes this easy, it was still complicated by the fact that there were a lot of them in awkward places.
The teeth need clean-up. We should have printed it a bit hotter and with a finer resolution.
nice. I've been debating on running one of those for my kids, well at least for when my kids choose to take a shower in the master bathroom...
The original model was designed for the jaw to be printed in a different orientation, so I can see how the supports are a little bit of a pain.
Please: What was your infill and how many shells? I tried last night but my software bugged out.
The infill was the only thing I changed. We had that process.fff tweaked to 15% for something we had done previously so I reset it back to 25%.
Top/bottom layers = 3, shells = 2. Supports were set at 25% infill as well. It would be a bit better at 30% or 40% infill (for the model, not supports) a little hotter print (205 or 210 for me instead of 200) and a bit slower (maybe 25% slower)...
Thanks. I appreciate the info.
t-wrex is running now. Hopefully it will be done when I get home today.
Yea, it was a long print even at the faster settings I did use, but it is a huge model.
Hey mark can you send me a copy of your setting used for this print, i have not been able to get simplify 3d to spit out results this good yet.
PM your email address, the forum is broken and not allowing attachments/uploads at the moment.
I'll send you my process.FFF
