I'm currently re wiring my arduino board, I didn't take a pic when i should have. Now i'm just looking for a stock pic of the wiring. Mainly to run the lights to the proper power port.

AFAIK that doesn't come from the Arduino. Either from the RAMPS or directly from the P/S. Let me find the RAMPS diagram:

I'm talking about the blue leds that come stock with the 3d r1+, the grey and blue wire, which power do they get connected the main power or D9?

No clue, I don't have an R1+ to compare to :) (earlier R1 series had no LEDS)

That RAMPS labeled above is from an R1+ so perhaps the connectors labeled "LED" are a clue.

@Geof or @WheresWaldo may be able to add more value.

The R1+ did not have blue LEDS, the R1 did. The R1+ has white LEDS. Picture of your ramps board would help as the LEDS are put in a "LED" header on the R1+ and differently on the R1.

:) and the Betas had neither
    Thanks @Geof!

Edit: and the RAMPS board is different between the R1/R1+ so I can understand why the LEDs would land in a different spot too.

If your unsure you can take a peek at the thread on the conversion to the generic ramps board.

    http://community.robo3d.com/index.p...and-rewiring-to-make-generic-ramps-work.8356/

that will show you some generic 12v hook ups the LEDS can go to. basically all you want is 12V all the time (power is on, leds are on) Anymore I wire mine to the 12V powersupply (pay attention to polarity of course)

When wired to the ramps board the lights would dim and do other wierd stuff when the board was under heavy load. Wired to the 12V power supply directly this didn't happen anymore

What is D8 wired to? It should be for the Bed Heater
What is D10 wired to ? It should be the extruder
What is D9 wired to ? It should be the parts fan

    :)

I mean I see wires, but we have no idea where they go. Only you can tell that.

Also make sure all of the jumpers under the stepper drivers are installed or you will have issues

Correct, on D9, D10. just have to re connect the bed to D8.
On the main power to the left, the grey blue wires for the led lights wired to the power. This is what I wanted to make sure was correct.

The good think about LEDS is that if you wire them backwards in this case ... they will just not work. Flip the polarity correctly and they will. So as @Geof says -- try it.

Have the board fully wired, turn power on and lights come on but the lcd full graphics has no power. It works when i plug the board directly into the computer via usb and no power going to the printer.

make sure your adaptor and wires are snug into both the board and the lcd controller. Also may want to make sure the smart adaptor is plug into the right pins correctly. one bent pin and it will miss

To make this clear here is a picture of a RAMPS board that is MISSING D1 and where it goes is circled in RED

Make sure yours has the diode there :)

    Not really.
And because the LCD works with the USB you can feel safe that the firmware changes are good.
